Unpacking Workshops

Discover Your Stories

Boomers are moving from large family houses into senior living communities. And young adults, strapped for cash in these high-rent times, are choosing simpler, smaller living spaces. Whatever the age, the process can throw life out of balance.  Pat’s two new “Discover Your Stories” presentations provide creative solutions for offloading the stuff and moving life forward.

For Elders

What if the dreaded process of moving to smaller quarters instead became a treasure hunt for forgotten stories and a roadmap to your best life? Learn how to use the storytelling process to discover inspiring objects you want to take and toxic ones you want to leave behind as you move to a new environment. Participants will learn how to spot significant story objects and leave with tools for making decisions about them.

For Their Adult Children

So your parents need to downsize, and you must help. As you go through the boxes together, how can you use the process to uncover and start preserving their life stories?  In this one-hour presentation, Pat will share ways you can help downsize their stuff but save the most important part: the stories it represents.

Ready to Unpack?

Periodically (but never more than once a month), I’ll send subscribers a free electronic newsletter, “Unpacking,” designed for those whose lives are thrown out of balance as they prepare to move to smaller quarters. You’ll learn how sifting through your “stuff” can help you discover YOUR important stories and decide which ones to make space for in your next phase. I’ll even call out for YOUR stories to share with others. Just enter your email address below to receive the newsletter by email.
